CORPORATE PROFILE

A principal-led resources platform.

Mhatu Minerals and Investments (Pty) Ltd is a South African-headquartered, founder-led resources platform connecting credible origin, disciplined execution and verified demand.

Established

2016

South African incorporation with a long-horizon institutional mandate.
Headquartered

Johannesburg

Bryanston, close to capital, partners and markets.
Led by

Its founder

Direct principal access and accountable leadership.
Current focus

Minerals, gas and oil

16 mineral categories spanning core focus and selective development interests.

Our role today

Defined by the mandate, not a fixed service line.

Mhatu originates, evaluates and structures mineral-development and commodity opportunities. Depending on the mandate, it may participate as originator, project-development partner, mining-services coordinator, operator, offtaker, marketer, logistics coordinator, capital partner, or custodian of an integrated workstream.

Who should engage

Rights holders seeking a disciplined path from title to operating value.

Capital providers requiring clearer evidence, milestones and reporting.

Buyers and offtakers seeking a disciplined route to qualified African origin.

Technical, mining, logistics and energy partners ready to execute.

Institutional evolution

Built through execution.

Incorporated in 2016 and drawing on founder experience in infrastructure, logistics and mine-adjacent execution, Mhatu has evolved around one idea: develop resource access, execution and markets as one system.

Execution roots

Civil infrastructure, logistics and mine-adjacent delivery informed the platform's operating discipline.

Mining capability

Chrome processing, mine development and operating coordination became connected workstreams.

Commercial integration

Structured commodity supply, offtake, logistics and energy inputs align with operations.

Institutional scale

MIDRES™, governed partnerships and selected African corridors extend the platform's reach.

Purpose and direction

Built for continuity. Governed for execution.

Purpose

To connect African mineral potential with operating assets, dependable supply and sustainable shared value, while strengthening the participation of African principals in the value created by African resources.

Vision

To build an enduring African resources institution recognised for responsible execution, reliable supply and long-term value creation across mining, energy, commodities and investment partnerships.

Mission

To originate and develop bankable opportunities (opportunities that a funder is able to finance), operate responsibly and connect African production with domestic and international demand through compliant, transparent and governed structures.

Resources Today. Wealth Tomorrow. Legacy Forever.

Geographic exposure

African at source. International in outlook.

From Johannesburg, Mhatu develops opportunities across selected African mineral corridors, structuring routes toward domestic, Gulf and international demand subject to verified counterparties and appropriately licensed logistics providers.

South African corridors

Gauteng, Limpopo, North West, Northern Cape and Mpumalanga exposure.

Regional Africa

Zambia, Zimbabwe, DRC, Mozambique, Namibia and selected opportunities.

Port & trade nodes

Durban, Richards Bay, Maputo and Beira interfaces, with Gulf relationships and selected European and Asian priorities.

Geographic exposure does not imply permanent offices or active operations in every jurisdiction.

In the field

Rooted in the field.

Civil infrastructure, logistics and mine-adjacent delivery shaped how Mhatu operates. These images show the kind of sites and plant the platform works around.

The wider Mhatu platform

Evidence, intelligence and execution support.

Two institutions extend the platform. They support Mhatu's main services and do not replace them.

MIDRES™

Legal entity

Mhatu Integrated Digital Resource Evaluation Standard (Pty) Ltd is a separate company from Mhatu Minerals and Investments (Pty) Ltd. Any formal arrangement between the two companies is confirmed before it is published.

Framework

MIDRES™ is Mhatu's proprietary framework for organising mineral-asset information and supporting evaluation, development planning and investment decisions.

Software

Operational software supports MIDRES™. It is distinct from both the company and the framework. Its specific features are published once they have been confirmed.

Evidence it draws on

Geological, rights, infrastructure, market, environmental and risk evidence.

Expected outputs

A documented basis connecting the evidence to development and investment decisions.

Professional-review boundary

Outputs remain subject to project-specific evidence and qualified professional review. MIDRES™ does not replace formal reporting codes or the Competent Person, and does not itself certify a mineral asset, resource or reserve.

MV Aegis Prime

Positioning

Intelligence. Protection. Technology.

Relationship to Mhatu

A distinct institution within the wider Mhatu platform. It supports Mhatu's mining, energy, logistics and investment work and is not part of the core commodity and project services.

Status

Being developed as a distinct institution for risk understanding, protective planning and technology integration around mining, energy, logistics and investment activities.

Current activities

Research, assessment, planning, client liaison and project coordination.

Future capabilities

Command, digital platform, research and academy capabilities remain a blueprint. Nothing in this list should be read as operating today.

Regulated activities

Guarding, armed protection, surveillance, cyber and other regulated specialist work is delivered through appropriately authorised providers. Their licences, personnel and experience remain theirs.

Clear on what is credible. Clear on what must be proven.

Every opportunity is tested against ten questions of authority, ownership, technical evidence, access, product, market, logistics, capital, environment and stakeholders before it becomes a mandate.
